Human Resources Specialist

About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and well-organised Human Resources Generalist to support a wide range of HR activities. This role offers exposure to the full HR lifecycle, from recruitment and onboarding to GDPR compliance, internal communications, and learning and development. You will collaborate closely with managers, new hires, external partners, and the wider HR team to deliver professional, efficient, and people-focused support.

Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding

Partner with hiring managers to manage the full recruitment process, including job postings, candidate communication, and coordination with agencies as needed

Ensure HR systems (e.g. MyHR) are kept up to date throughout the recruitment cycle

Coordinate and deliver a smooth onboarding experience for new joiners

Support the completion and processing of all required paperwork and approvals

Explain HR policies, procedures, and benefits to new hires
HR Administration

Prepare and update employment records related to hiring, promotions, transfers, and terminations

Maintain the organisation’s MyHR system and org charts
-
Support general HR documentation and system accuracy
Learning & Development

Support internal L&D initiatives and assist in coordinating external learning providers (e.g. language schools, ACCA)

Take part in educational projects such as the GSS Academy
GDPR Compliance

Follow local and global data protection procedures to ensure GDPR compliance

Prepare documentation and evidence for audits

Participate in audit processes as needed
Internal & External Communication

Inform staff of HR initiatives, events, and important updates

Contribute to employer branding efforts and support external HR communications (e.g. job boards, LinkedIn)
Wage Preparation Support

Act as the point of contact for attendance and wage-related processes

Collect and submit relevant documents and information to support payroll accuracy
General HR Support

Support the HR team with general tasks and contribute to special projects when needed
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:

Previous experience in recruitment or HR generalist roles

A university degree in HR or Economics (or at least 1 year of experience in a relevant HR function)

Advanced MS Office skills and familiarity with HR systems (e.g. MyHR)

Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across teams

A solid understanding of GDPR and interest in legal and compliance aspects of HR

An interest in learning and development, with an ability to coordinate internal and external providers

General knowledge of accounting or finance is an advantage

Fluency in English (spoken and written)
