Today this portfolio of content features is delivered by an integrated suite of technologies which collectively allow the authoring, ingest, channeling and distribution of our published content to our customers. The Senior Product Owner will use a defined budget to ensure the best long-term business outcomes from the Content Technology Product perspective, by managing the collection, analysis, production (including archiving and usage analytics) and distribution of all health and security multimedia content sets to the point where they can be accessed by business line products and solutions

Job Description

 

You will be working closely with the Delivery Director, Digital Content Technologies; Medical & Security Content Professionals; Digital Content Technologies team; business line Product Management teams and Content Operations team and your main responsibilities will include:

 

•    Researches and understands the evolving industry, commercial context and user needs
•    Understands intimately how those needs are currently met across the International SOS client base.
•    Establishes a compelling, continuously-improving value proposition and vision, consistent with those of the overall service.
•    Maintains product roadmap, supported by a sprint-ready product backlog
•    Forms long-lived, dedicated, multi-disciplinary Scrum teams to deliver and launch all aspects of the value proposition, including commercial terms and conditions, working in collaboration with the business line product and solutions teams as needed
•    Ensures constructive user feedback during development, as well as in-service.
•    Takes decisions and actively advises delivery teams.
•    Ensures clear, comprehensive documentation.
•    Ensures compliance with legal, privacy, security and architectural standards.
•    Accountable for deriving value (customer satisfaction, net financial contribution) from the allocated budget, and presenting cases to adjust that budget where a business case can be made
•    Responsible for communicating with the Sales & Marketing community to deliver clear messaging and communications of our content features and their associated vision, priorities and roadmap

Requirements

 

 

•    Strong knowledge of content management systems (eg SiteCore) and of the overall digital media and publishing sector
•    Excellent communicator and collaborator
•    Highly-developed EQ and stakeholder management skills
•    Financial and commercial acumen
•    Decisive, with a preference for data-driven decisions
•    Passion for driving audience-centric content initiatives, with experience of working in a complex, fast-moving multimedia news and information in a digital environment

 

Experience and Qualifications:

 

•    A minimum of three years experience of managing a digital product team
•    Good working knowledge of Design Thinking and Scrum
•    Previous experience of working in a dynamic, global, multilingual environment
•    Knowledge of the medical and security risk and information space
•    Educated to a degree level or equivalent 
•    Product Owner certification a definite advantage
•    An excellent standard of written and spoken English is essential.  
•    Proficiency in any other languages is an advantage.
