International SOS are recruiting for a Localization Project Manager, based in London, United Kingdom who will be responsible for the provision, oversight, review, and on-schedule delivery of translation and multilingual services for assigned print and/or digital projects. 

Key Responsibilities:


•    End-to-end ownership of localisation processes and lifecycle as applicable, e.g., pre-processing, translation, post-processing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement.
•    Understand requirements and (re)design and execute the localisation model and strategy based on an audience-centric content approach and objectives for SimShip and continuous localisation.
•    Identify and drive the deployment of translation enabling technologies that serve best the organizational objectives, strategy, and the feasibility criteria, e.g., Machine Translation, Translation Management System, Translation Memories, Terminology Databases, CAT tools.
•    Drive and execute Machine Translation (MT) strategy and help accelerate MT and Real-time localisation vision.
•    Analyse Machine Translation output and feedback on post editing for quality improvements, and clean up TMs, feed glossaries into MT engines.
•    Analyse different evaluation metrics for MT engines and post editing output.
•    Test and document the results of output of trained MT engines and post edited output.
•    Manage the review of human post-edited output to produce high-quality training for MT engines.
•    Support the team with creating guidelines and documentation on best practices for post-editors.
•    Manage schedules, costs, quality, and vendor relationships

About you:


•    An excellent standard of written and spoken English is essential
•    Proficiency in any other language is a great advantage
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent level qualification in a related field (linguistics, translation, IT, Localisation)
•    Well-rounded knowledge of localization processes and workflows, experience gained on both on the client side and supplier side preferred
•    Experience in proofreading or post-editing machine translated content preferred together with experience in using CAT Tools / other localization tools 
•    Understanding of MT (SMT, NMT) and Machine Learning basics
•    Knowledge of MT metrics and algorithms for quality evaluation
•    Knowledge of most common mistakes by machine translation and how to categorise and prevent them.
•    Knowledge of connectivity of translation memories and terminology databases with MT.
•    Strong analytical, writing and editorial skills
