We are looking for a Director of Sales in Amsterdam, to join our Northern Europe Sales Leadership Team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is commercially astute, with extensive B2B sales experience from either a professional services or insurance background.

Key responsibilities


  • Spearheading the Northern Europe commercial agenda for the Nordic and Benelux countries aligned with the wider Northern Europe commercial plan.
  • Managing and developing a team of account managers and business development managers.
  • Building and ensuring effective team relationships between Global teams including partnerships with the Group Product Team, Regional Product Champions and Operations.
  • Working in partnership with the Head of Marketing Northern Europe to identify and target key prospects and the overall go-to-market strategy to achieve new business.
  • Proactively contributing to the sales forecast review processes to oversee the development of pipeline.
  • Continually monitoring and reporting on progress against longer term pipeline development, annual review and profit targets, account plans and taking action to support and overcome any discrepancies.
  • Supporting all key pricing and contract negotiations, and ensuring all commercial processes adhere to the requirements.

About you


  • Extensive experience in a Senior Business Development or Sales role in business-to-business environment and/or service sectors e.g. Pharmaceutical Marketing, Healthcare Communications Insurance, IT, Financial services.             
  • Proven experience in a Sales Management role, leading a team.  Exposure and experience of change management an advantage.
  • Able to demonstrate a proven track record of key account management at senior management/board level, developing and building profitable relationships and influencing senior decision makers.
  • Evidence of strategic thinking and planning skills, particularly in financial analysis and reporting.
  • Accomplished networking skills both internally and externally to ensure collaboration, teamwork and cooperation within a demanding, culturally diverse and matrix organisation.
