The core function of the Sr. Program Manager, Alliances and Partnerships, is to build strategic relationships with external partners to extend the value proposition International SOS has to offer to its clients. This role directly impacts the generation of revenue through partner led capability or technology, referrals, and integrated experience.  The team manages a portfolio of partners that keeps International SOS as leader in the field. #Americas

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Business development

  • Assess and create new partnerships to bring direct revenue to Intl. SOS through capability, referrals, integration from partners.
  • Lead and support the negotiation of partnership agreement.
  • Contribute to partner selection process.
  • Work with product team to integrate new technology and capability to Intl.SOS.
  • Develop marketing statement and press release with regional or group marketing.
  • Train and promote partners within global Intl. SOS sales teams, product team, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Train and promote Intl.SOS with partners’ sales, product, and relevant stakeholders. 
  • Create and manage Cross Border and referral schemes with partners and internal stakeholders to ensure incentives
  • Contribute to regional sales kick offs and strategy planning session.
  • Assist individual customer opportunity that involve a partner when occurs, such as migration, cross border, de-conflict and establish alignment on distribution or service boundary issues. 
  • Oversee sales, financial, and operational aspect of the relationship to ensure growth.

 

External stakeholder management

  • Day to day relationship keeper or support with partner to keep external stakeholders engaged and confident in working with Intl. SOS.
  • Assess potential partners and needs, conduct initial interviews and analysis, and create engagement plan
  • Connect partner with relevant internal stakeholders, and provide close support to ensure success.  
  • Achieve alignment and consensus with partner on strategic roadmap, product boundary, client engagement, etc.  
  • Working with partner and internal parties to obtain alignment and consensus on Steering Committee meeting or key stakeholder meeting to ensure success. 
  • Manage all monthly and quarterly declarations governed by partnership agreement, and serve as point of contact for partner.  This may include specific declaration from Insurance Partnership team.

Internal stakeholder management

  • Communicate and manage relevant internal stakeholders (Sales management, Product teams, Sales team, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Commercial Desk, etc.) and obtain alignment around partner engagement.
  • Connect internal stakeholder with partner, and provide close support to ensure success. 
  • Conflict resolution point of contact around partner issues.  

 

Execute on new partnerships

  • Assist with partnership commercial model, provide framework, and negotiation strategy. 
  • Create launch plan, training documents, FAQ, and relevant supporting material to launch a new partnership. 
  • Establish KPIs for partnership success with partner. 
  • Create back-end support mechanism of a new partnership.  

 

Assist with transitions of existing partnership and relationships

  • Serve as ongoing day-to-day relationship keeper on existing partnership
  • Facilitate and connect partner with internal stakeholders to generate efficiency operationally and commercially. 
  • Manage product related issues with partner and internal stakeholders, and drive initiatives to resolve any boundary issues. 
  • Provide ongoing oversight of financial transaction between Intl. SOS and partner.
  • Serve as escalation point for partner and internal stakeholders when conflict occurs. 
  • Manage migration process and key projects such JV buy outs.

 

Manage and motivate resources 

  • Manage resource(s) to complete critical monthly financial report and analysis.  
  • Create collaboration between group and regional partnership team and other departments within Intl. SOS and partners’ organization. 

 

Program Management 

  • Assist with strategic planning. 
  • Lead the implementation of tools and process to gain productivity efficiency.   
  • Assist with the transition of strategic alliances to ecosystem partner framework. 

Qualifications:

Required Work Experience

  • Proven experience in a sales / business development role.
  • Direct B2B solution/consultative selling experience in complex / service industry.
  • Exposure to working in a cross-border engagement - sales or operations environment.
  • Track record of building profitable global partnerships at the enterprise level.
  • Proven experience in analytics that inform decision making.

 

Required Skills and Knowledge

Education

  • University Business Degree required.  MBA preferred but not required.

 

Required Languages

  • Ability to communicate in English fluently (oral and written) an absolute must. Ability to speak another language relevant to location and client base will be an advantage.
