Principal Software Engineer

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities 

• Analyze all business requirements and design all data flow charts and diagrams for processes and provide effective solutions to all issues.
• Design an effective technical architecture and develop it effectively and assist in improving the process.
• Enhance existing systems areas for modification and improvement

• Maintain existing software systems by identifying and correcting software defects
• Create technical specifications and test plans
• Create new and extend existing operational documentation
• Consult colleagues concerning maintenance and performance of software systems
• Train and mentor Junior developers.
• Ability to coordinate with offshore and onshore development teams across business lines.
• Assist technical architects with infrastructure requirement development
• Perform project code review
• Investigate and debug software errors, troubleshoot application issues by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying.
• Job may be performed remotely up to two days per week.

Position Requires:

Position requires an associate’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in a Mathematics, science, or technology field PLUS eight (8) years of experience as a software developer or a related role. Experience must include a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrable knowledge in C#; .net technologies (such as .NET, ASP.NET, .NET Core, .NET Framework, etc.); SQL Server or MySQL. Experience must also include a minimum of three (3) years of demonstrable knowledge in AWS or Azure; Visual Studio or Visual Studio Code. All required experience may have been gained concurrently.
