The JPN-ENG Senior Security Manager, Assistance Japan leads the delivery of security assistance services for Japan-based clients operating globally and inbound clients to Japan. This role ensures high-quality, consistent, and locally relevant security support aligned with global standards. It involves operational planning, crisis management, and team leadership within the Tokyo Assistance Center.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Security Assistance Operations:

    • Provide security risk and crisis management advice and support.
    • Manage complex security cases, including evacuations and high-risk interventions.
    • Maintain and strengthen security provider and hotel networks in Japan.
    • Participate in crisis escalation and on-call rotations; deploy as needed globally.
  • Information & Analysis:

    • Support intelligence gathering and localized content development for Japan-based clients.
  • Sales & Marketing Support:

    • Act as a subject matter expert in client engagements, training, and consulting.
    • Identify opportunities for tailored security services and contribute to solution development.
  • Leadership:

    • Lead and develop the Security Assistance team.
    • Set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in security or emergency operations, including field experience in challenging environments.
  • Strong knowledge of security risk management and intelligence processes.
  • Crisis management and cross-cultural work experience.

Skills:

  • Native/fluent Japanese and excellent English.
  • Ability to analyze complex security situations and develop actionable plans.
  • Strong IT proficiency (Microsoft Office Suite).

Education:

  • Degree in security studies, international relations, or related field.
