Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Near Patient Physician Lead – Japan

Join a mission-driven team supporting TRICARE beneficiaries across Japan. As the Near Patient Physician Lead, you’ll provide strategic medical leadership, coordinate care delivery, and foster collaboration between military treatment facilities (MTFs), local providers, and internal medical teams.

 

Description:

 
  • Provide medical leadership and functional oversight of Near Patient Teams in Japan
  • Coordinate care delivery and inpatient medical management for TRICARE Prime and Prime Remote beneficiaries
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with MTF leadership, Purchased Care Sector Providers (PCSPs), and internal stakeholders
  • Facilitate training and education for medical teams and external providers on TRICARE systems and expectations
  • Monitor caseloads and service delivery using TRICARE CRM tools
  • Participate in provider visits, inspections, and quality assurance initiatives
  • Support strategic initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement in service delivery
  • Represent the Near Patient Program in meetings, audits, and professional events
  • Ensure compliance with clinical quality standards and contractual KPIs
  • Lead performance appraisals and development planning for medical team members

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Medical Doctor with at least 5 years of post-graduate clinical experience
  • Senior management experience in a healthcare leadership role
  • Broad clinical background (e.g., General Practice, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ICU)
  • Fluent in Japanese
  • Understanding fo Japanese healthcare/medical system
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and managing service delivery metrics
