About the role
Overall Purpose Of The Job
The Staff Nurse will support the medical team in the management and coordination support for International SOS medical services activities, consistent with contractual commitments for client’s project site. This will include professional and competent management of patients, occupational health and education of contractors on site within the realms of the nursing scope of skills.
Key responsibilities
- Clinical Care & Emergency Response
Provide assessment, treatment, and follow-up for minor illnesses/injuries; deliver emergency and trauma care (including mass casualty management); administer medications; perform basic life support and airway management. - Medical Operations & Equipment
Maintain readiness and cleanliness of medical facilities, ambulances, and equipment (e.g., AEDs, ventilators); ensure proper triage areas; replenish supplies and ensure clinical waste is disposed of according to regulations. - Health, Safety & Compliance
Monitor occupational health risks, hygiene standards (kitchen, water, sanitation), and fitness-for-duty of personnel (e.g., food handlers); support disease prevention and PPE awareness initiatives. - Training & Preparedness
Conduct first aid/CPR training and coordinate emergency drills and simulations for site responders. - Patient Handling & Documentation
Perform patient assessment (including differential diagnosis), manage evacuation, provide on-site care (e.g., haemorrhage control, immobilisation, extrication support), and maintain accurate medical records (SOAPE format).
Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities

Participate in the development and maintenance of a safe and healthy workplace.

Undertake all mandatory OH&S training as required.

Comply with any reasonable instructions, policies, procedures or safe work practices given by Intl.SOS in adhering to safe work procedures.

Co-operate with management in its fulfilment of its legislative obligations.

Take reasonable care to ensure their own health and safety and the safety of others.

To report any injury, hazard or illness as soon as possible to their supervisor.
About you
-
Minimum 2 years of ward experience in either General Ward, Emergency Department or Intensive Care Unit

Registered Nurse in SNB
-
Hold valid certifications: BLS
-
Excellent written and spoken English. Additional language capability is an advantage.

Rotation and travel based on assignment.

Flexibility for last minute requests for short- and long-term travel commitments.
