Your Mission
This is a full-time Monday-Friday 6:00am - 5:30pm position located at one of our industrial client sites in the Wilson, NC area. EMT State Certification and/or National Registry Required.
How You'll Contribute
Step into a critical role where your skills save lives and create safer workplaces every day. As an EMT, you’ll be the first responder in emergencies, delivering prompt and effective care while ensuring the highest clinical standards:
- Respond quickly and efficiently to emergency situations, providing immediate medical support.
- Administer basic first aid and medical care in compliance with federal, state, local, and company regulations.
- Assess injuries and illnesses to prioritize treatment and stabilize patients.
- Document all findings and treatments clearly and accurately.
- Support Site Safety Managers in creating and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Promote and ensure compliance with International SOS OH&S policies, safe work practices, and corporate values.
- Participate in developing and maintaining a safe and healthy workplace through mandatory WHS training and active cooperation with management.
- Report injuries, hazards, or illnesses promptly and encourage hazard identification and risk management processes.
- Ensure all workers, including contractors, receive approved OH&S training and foster positive attitudes toward workplace safety.
- Actively participate in OH&S inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
- Maintain plant and equipment to proper standards and ensure workers have the training and supervision needed to work safely.
- Serve as a role model by demonstrating safe work behaviors and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of OH&S issues.
The Talent We’re Looking For
Required Skills and Knowledge
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited EMT program
Required Competencies
- Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
- Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
- Demonstrating a strong orientation towards teamwork and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
- Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
- Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified, and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
Required Work Experience
- Previous EMT experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience
- Occupational medicine experience (preferred)
Required Qualifications
- EMT State Certification and/or National Registry
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- BLS
