Join International SOS as a Network Site Assessment Nurse and take your clinical expertise beyond the traditional healthcare setting.

Working across the Pacific, you will travel internationally to assess healthcare providers, evaluate standards of care and help ensure TRICARE beneficiaries have access to safe, high-quality healthcare wherever they are.

This is a unique role combining clinical expertise, quality assurance, provider credentialing and international healthcare network management. From hospitals and specialist facilities to healthcare providers across very different health systems, you will see first-hand how care is delivered around the world.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on-site provider assessments, facility reviews and credentialing in line with International SOS guidelines and TRICARE requirements.
• Assess and document the scope and quality of healthcare services, collecting provider credentials and other relevant information.
• Prepare clear trip summaries, assessment reports and recommendations for key stakeholders.
• Research local healthcare systems and medical issues to understand the environments in which our providers operate.
• Build strong relationships with healthcare providers, local TRICARE Points of Contact, U.S. Health Units and internal medical and network teams.
• Travel extensively across assigned regions, including international and domestic travel, extended stays and potentially multiple trips within short periods.

About you

You are an experienced healthcare professional who combines strong clinical judgement with curiosity, independence and excellent people skills. You are equally comfortable assessing a medical facility, speaking with healthcare professionals, analysing information and producing a structured report.

You will bring:

• A Graduate/Registered Nurse qualification with a minimum of 5 years’ nursing experience.
• Broad clinical knowledge and the ability to assess and audit healthcare services in a structured and incisive way.
• Experience in one or more areas such as healthcare quality management/assurance, medical facility accreditation, clinical auditing, healthcare administration, provider network management, medical outsourcing or international healthcare.
• The ability to work independently, use initiative and remain effective in demanding and constantly changing environments.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Japanese language proficiency (JLPT N2 or equivalent)
• The flexibility to travel extensively, often at short notice, while independently managing travel logistics, planning, budgets and stakeholder communication.

Experience with international healthcare, healthcare insurance, medical/travel assistance or managed healthcare provider networks would be particularly valuable.
