Description:
International SOS is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Senior Contracts Manager to manage and oversee the lifecycle of complex federal healthcare services contracts. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS), healthcare contracts, and privacy requirements related to Protected Health Information (PHI) and Personally Identifiable Information (PII). International and expeditionary healthcare experience is a strong plus.
This is a full-time role based out of our San Antonio, Texas office.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of the contract lifecycle, including negotiation, award, administration, compliance, modification, and closeout for federal healthcare contracts.
- Ensure contract compliance with federal regulations, internal policies, and customer requirements.
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex contractual documents including Master Services Agreements, Task Orders, Subcontracts, NDAs, and Teaming Agreements.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, finance, and operations teams to assess risks and ensure contracts align with business objectives.
- Maintain accurate and complete contract records and reporting systems in accordance with company policies and government regulations.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and policies that impact federal healthcare contracts, especially regarding PHI and PII.
- Provide strategic advice and guidance on contract terms and risk mitigation.
- Prepare for and participate in audits, reviews, and government inquiries.
- Mentor junior staff and support continuous improvement in contract management processes.
About you
Required Skills and Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of the FAR, DFARS, and other federal acquisition regulations.
- Demonstrated experience with PHI and PII privacy requirements (e.g., HIPAA).
- Experience working on international healthcare projects or in contingency/expeditionary environments is highly desirable.
- Strong business acumen and ability to align contract strategy with business goals.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Cobblestone preferred.
Required Work Experience
- Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in contract management, with at least 5 years managing U.S. federal government contracts (preferably in the healthcare sector).
Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills including but not limited to the ability to present to groups and to interpret and summarize complex written materials. - Demonstrated effective problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, or related advanced degree preferred.

• Excellent written and oral English
Travel / Rotation Requirements
• Up to 25% of travel time both domestically and international
• Travel to Intl.SOS locations within the USA and abroad will be required from time to time
