International SOS is seeking a Contracts Specialist with experience in federal contracting and document control. The Contracts Specialist will play a key role in supporting the contracts lifecycle—from initial request and review through execution, compliance, and closeout. This role requires familiarity with FAR/DFARS regulations, best practices in federal contracting, and strong organizational skills for managing contract documentation and workflows. International and expeditionary healthcare experience is a strong plus.
This is a full-time role based out of our San Antonio, Texas office.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the full lifecycle of federal contracts and subcontracts, including drafting, review, negotiation, execution, and administration.
- Maintain organized and compliant contract files, ensuring alignment with FAR/DFARS and organizational standards.
- Manage document control processes for contract records, modifications, and supporting documentation.
- Upload, track, and maintain contract documents within the Cobblestone Contract Management System, ensuring data integrity and timely updates.
- Assist in the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of contract templates, checklists, and procedures.
- Interface with internal stakeholders (legal, finance, operations, and business development) to ensure contract compliance and support audits or internal reviews.
- Monitor contract deadlines, deliverables, and reporting requirements using Cobblestone or other tracking systems.
- Prepare summaries, reports, and risk assessments for active agreements as needed.
- Support task order issuance and management under Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts.
- Maintain current knowledge of federal contracting regulations and best practices
Required Skills and Knowledge
- Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and other federal procurement regulations.
- Familiarity with different contract types: FFP, T&M/LH, Cost Reimbursement, IDIQ
- Experience with document control procedures and systems in a federal contracting environment.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to ethical conduct and adherence to company policies and U.S. Government contracting requirements.
Required Work Experience
- Minimum of 2–4 years of direct experience in U.S. federal contract administration.
- Experience with DoD, DHS, or other federal civilian agency contracts preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Cobblestone preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a business related field
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- NCMA Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), or working toward certification (preferred).
Required Languages
- Excellent written and oral English
Travel / Rotation Requirements
- Up to 25% of travel time both domestically and international
- Travel to Intl.SOS locations within the USA and abroad will be required from time to time
