About the Role
The Registered Nursing Officer will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing services that align with best practices and organisational policies. Key Responsibilities
- Providing direct patient care including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
- Monitoring patient health status, administering medications, and ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment plans.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and review patient care plans in a multidisciplinary context.
- Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient records in accordance with legal and organisational standards.
- Educating patients and their families on health management, procedures, and preventive measures.
- Ensuring compliance with infection control guidelines and maintaining a safe clinical environment.
- Participating in continuous professional development and keeping abreast of current nursing practices and healthcare regulations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Registered Nursing qualification recognised in Papua New Guinea or equivalent accreditation.
- Demonstrated clinical skills with the ability to provide empathetic, patient-centred care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in maintaining confidential patient records and respectful handling of sensitive information.
