We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiographer to join our healthcare team based in Papua New Guinea. As a Radiographer, you will play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients through the use of medical imaging techniques. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic imaging examinations such as X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and other radiographic procedures following established protocols.
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, explaining the process clearly and addressing any concerns to ensure patient comfort and cooperation.
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret and evaluate imaging results for diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, complying with all legal and ethical standards regarding confidentiality and data protection.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with advances in imaging technology and best practices.
  • Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations, including radiation protection protocols, to safeguard patients, colleagues, and yourself.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of imaging services, including involvement in audit activities and quality assurance programs.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Recognised qualification in Radiography from an accredited institution.
  • Professional registration or licensure as required by local regulatory bodies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of radiographic imaging techniques and radiation safety principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain procedures clearly and provide reassurance to patients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate diagnostic results.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and professional ethics in all patient interactions.
