About the role
The role of the Product and Marketing Manager is to develop, plan and deliver marketing activities consistent with the marketing and communications strategy for key stakeholders that promotes the Commercial Maritime business objectives, brand and company values. In addition, the role will drive the product development and digital agenda for Commercial Maritime to ensure that we stay ahead of the competition, drive market appreciation of our digital tools and also ensure proper implementation of new products and services while establishing efficiencies in our service delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the development and implementation of a marketing plan that promotes the Commercial Maritime business objectivities, brand and culture consistent with the Marketing and Communications strategy.
- Drive the Product and digital agenda for Commercial Maritime.
- Ensure operational alignment between our product agenda and operational service delivery
- Work with stakeholders and customer relationship ‘owners’ within the business to identify stakeholder requirements and develop and implement stakeholder marketing and product plans.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop products and ensure their timely roll outs.
- Manage and drive projects to develop and roll out new projects and improvement plans on existing products.
- Plan and execute marketing activities and evaluate and report on effectiveness.
- Assist with the tactical management of the Commercial Maritime Brand consistent with the Brand strategy, rules and guidelines.
- Drive association and partnership agenda for Commercial Maritime to drive revenue including referral agreements.
- Plan and execute Thought leadership agenda and relevant coverage in seminars, publications and media
- Develop and refine digital marketing and assist in content delivery across social media and web
- Review and report on best practice marketing within the Maritime sector. Assist with researching regulations and competitive information.
- Coordinate approvals of concepts and provide final art (datasheets, presentations, proposals, flyers, e-vites)
- Coordinate internal and external events, editorial and event calendars
- Planning, writing and managing lead generation campaigns including e-blasts and e-newsletters
- Develop client stories/ successes in conjunction with operations and subject matter experts
- Ensure the optimal use of marketing automation and providing warm sales leads using Customer Relationship Management (Salesforce) and Eloqua platforms
- Attend events and relevant trade shows (occasionally out of office hours and International Travel)
About you
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (e.g., Marketing/Communications, Public Relations, Product management)
- 5-10 years’ experience in product development
- A strong understanding of the shipping industry will be an advantage
- Experience in dealing with multiple levels within an organization
- Experience in developing and driving revenue generating initiatives with a B2B organization
- Experience working in all areas of creative, media and project development
