Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in financial, asset, payroll, and tax accounting, who thrives in a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Asset Accounting: Maintain records of fixed and low-value assets by cost center. Prepare monthly depreciation entries and support year-end inventory and tax depreciation processes.

• Payroll Accounting: Book payroll data from an external provider. Check employee advances and liabilities, especially during terminations or monthly closings. Coordinate with payroll agencies and authorities.

• Financial Accounting: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. Oversee postings by external service centers. Prepare accruals, code complex invoices, and manage monthly closings. Monitor payables and receivables, and assist with audits.

• Tax Accounting: Prepare VAT and corporate tax returns. Cooperate with tax advisors and authorities. Ensure documentation and compliance for both direct and indirect taxes.

• Cash Management: Monitor daily cash position and coordinate internal fund transfers as needed.

About you

• Solid knowledge of accounting and tax legislation

• Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in an international environment

• Fluent Czech, communicative English

• Strong organizational skills and experience with team coordination or management

• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams)

• Experience with SUN6 accounting system is a plus
