About the role

Responsible for researching, analyzing, and delivering objective, accurate, and medically validated information on the availability and accessibility of medical treatments, medicines, and healthcare systems in countries outside the EU+ area.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research availability of medical treatments, diagnostics, specialists, and medicines in third countries.
  • Accurately identify treatment and medicine availability (available / not available / partially available / available under conditions).
  • Research healthcare systems, insurance coverage, treatment costs, and accessibility of care.
  • Collect information using multiple sources:
    • External - directly from local medical facilities, hospitals, pharmacies, and healthcare institutions (public facilities prioritized).
    • Correspondents - through the network of established partners
    • Internal - working closely with medical, operational, and network colleagues across locations
  • Draft clear, structured, evidence-based medical reports in English, adhering to the client’s methodology.
  • Manage multiple requests simultaneously and meet strict delivery timelines.
  • Respond to clarification or validation requests and update information as required.
  • Collaborate with Medical Doctors and quality reviewers to ensure medical accuracy.

 

What Not to Expect from the Role

  • Direct patient care or clinical decision-making, either face-to-face or remotely (e.g. consultations, diagnosis, treatment decisions).
  • Advanced statistical, epidemiological, or large-scale data analytics

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Academic background in medicine / public health / pharmacy / nursing / healthcare / biomedical sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in research, information gathering, or health systems analysis.
  • Ability to accurately interpret medical diagnoses, treatment modalities, and pharmaceutical information at a basic professional level
  • Excellent written English with strong attention to clarity, structure, and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple parallel tasks under time constraints.
  • Strong analytical skills and commitment to objective, evidence-based reporting.
  • Demonstrate due diligence, attention to detail, and compliance with data protection requirements.
  • Take responsibility for own workload, prioritization, and timely delivery.

Nice-to-Have:

  • Experience working under medical supervision or in medical or pharmaceutical professional field
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems in low- and middle-income countries.
  • Experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or EU institutions.
  • Knowledge of additional languages relevant to countries of origin – ideally French
  • Experience conducting remote research through direct contact with medical institutions
  • Familiarity with structured research methodologies and quality assurance processes.
