Senior Business Systems Lead

Position Summary:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the support, enhancement, integration, and continuous improvement of MedAire's business-critical applications. This role serves as the primary technical owner for systems supporting order management, warehouse operations, inventory management, fulfillment, logistics, shipping, customer service, and reporting. The position works closely with business stakeholders, vendors, and IT teams to ensure application reliability, resolve complex issues, implement system enhancements, and improve operational efficiency. 

Primary Responsibilities

Application Support and Ownership 

• Serve as the primary technical owner for assigned business applications and related business processes. 
• Provide ongoing application administration, support, maintenance, troubleshooting, and enhancement. 
• Investigate and resolve complex production issues, system defects, and recurring incidents. 
• Coordinate software upgrades, testing, deployments, and application changes. 
• Ensure application stability, performance, and alignment with business requirements. 

Systems Integration 

• Support and maintain integrations between internal and third-party applications. 
• Troubleshoot interface failures, data synchronization issues, and integration-related incidents. 
• Develop and maintain API, file-based, and database-driven integrations. 
• Ensure accurate and reliable data flow between ERP, warehouse, fulfillment, shipping, and reporting systems. 

Reporting and Data Management 

• Develop and maintain reports, queries, dashboards, and data extracts. 
• Create and optimize SQL queries, views, and stored procedures. 
• Support operational reporting and business analysis requirements. 
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across integrated systems. 

Business Analysis and Process Improvement 

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand operational requirements and develop effective technology solutions. 
• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvements, and system enhancements. 
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications. 
• Participate in project planning, testing, implementation, and user training activities. 

Vendor and Stakeholder Management 

• Serve as the technical liaison for application vendors and support partners. 
• Coordinate support requests, issue resolution, software updates, and enhancement activities. 
• Evaluate vendor recommendations and proposed system improvements. 
• Build effective working relationships with business stakeholders and technical partners. 

Documentation and Knowledge Management 

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, process flows, and system diagrams. 
• Document application configurations, integrations, and business workflows. 
• Support knowledge transfer and cross-training activities to reduce operational risk. 
• Promote sustainable support practices and reduced key-person dependency.

Desired Experience and Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Minimum five years of experience supporting enterprise business applications. 
• Strong Microsoft SQL Server experience, including query development, reporting, views, and stored procedures. 
• Experience supporting ERP systems and integrated business applications. 
• Experience supporting warehouse management, inventory management, fulfillment, logistics, shipping, or order management systems. 
• Experience supporting application integrations, APIs, and data exchange processes. 
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. 
• Experience working directly with business users, operational stakeholders, and third-party vendors. 
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
