Key responsibilities

 

The Programme Manager will be responsible for planning, organising, and directing of assigned consulting projects. This may be supporting a consultant / team of consultants to ensure that the project is delivered on time, scope and budget. 

 

Your responsibilities as a Program Manager will include:

 

  • Oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of consulting projects, ensuring alignment with strategic client objectives and consulting practice best practices.

 

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects and programmes, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards.

 

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations and communications throughout the project lifecycle.

 

  • Develop compelling, client-centric delivery frameworks, and project implementation plans, tailored to the health and security needs of each engagement.

 

  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across internal teams, subcontractors, providers, and client stakeholders, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and timelines.

 

  • Engage in stakeholder mapping and communication planning, ensuring alignment across varying levels of influence and interest.

 

  • Manage and prioritise resources across multiple concurrent projects, leveraging internal capabilities and external vendors to optimize delivery outcomes.

 

  • Apply rigorous project governance processes to scope, schedule, and cost control, using recognized frameworks (e.g. PMI, PRINCE2, Agile) and adapting them to client and context-specific requirements.

 

  • Ensure full compliance with International SOS integrity, health & safety, and quality standards, championing best practices in ethical, safe, and secure delivery environments.

 

  • Support business development efforts, contributing to proposals, client presentations, and thought leadership in the health and security consultancy space.

About you

 

Required Skills and Competencies

 

  • 5+ years proven working experience in project management.

 

  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills – written and verbal.

 

  • Excellent organizational skills, strong attention to detail and multitasking skills, managing competing deadlines.

 

  • Excellent MS Office skills and familiarity with Project Management Software and Tools.

 

  • Detail and results -oriented, committed with sense of responsibility.

 

  • Adhered to focusing on risk mitigation, problem solving tight deliverable and reporting requirements.

 

Required Languages

 

  • Business-level proficiency in English and French is required. German would be considered a strong asset.
