The Medical Advisor will support our clinical operations, telemedicine services, pharmacy and medical logistics governance, and regional crisis response activities across Southeast Asia. The role also includes medical escort duties for patient transfers both within Singapore and internationally.

This position requires strong clinical expertise in emergency medicine, operational adaptability, and the ability to function effectively in high-acuity and crisis environments. 

The Role

Clinical & Telemedicine Support

  • Provide clinical oversight and support for on-site clinic operations.
  • Deliver telemedicine consultations in alignment with International SOS clinical governance standards.
  • Ensure compliance with Singapore regulatory requirements for medical practice.
  • Maintain an active and valid medical license in Singapore to support clinical and telemedicine activities.

 

Pharmacy & Medical Logistics Governance

  • Support the establishment and regulatory oversight of pharmacy stock for:
    • Emergency medications
    • Controlled drugs (where applicable and legally authorized)
    • Medical consumables and equipment
  • Provide appropriate licensing support and medical oversight for pharmaceutical stock management.
  • Ensure that drug storage, documentation, and handling comply with Singapore health authority regulations.
  • Advise on medication and equipment requirements for patient transfers and medevac operations.

 

Emergency & Medevac Operational Support

  • Provide medical oversight for emergency patient transfers and aeromedical evacuations.
  • Participate in medical escort missions within Singapore and internationally as required.
  • Support medical preparedness for high-risk transfer and critical care transport.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure clinical risk mitigation during transfers.

 

Crisis Response & Regional Deployment

  • Be available for rapid deployment during medical crises in Southeast Asia.
  • Support emergency response operations during outbreaks, natural disasters, mass casualty incidents, or other regional crises.
  • Provide clinical leadership and decision-making in austere or resource-constrained environments.
  • Contribute to post-incident medical reviews and operational debriefings

Requirements

  • Medical Degree recognized by the Singapore Medical Council (SMC).
  • Full registration and valid practicing certificate in Singapore.
  • Specialist qualification in Emergency Medicine (or equivalent).
  • Minimum 5 to 8 years of post-specialization experience in emergency or critical care medicine.
  • Experience in aeromedical retrieval, critical care transport, or pre-hospital emergency medicine is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and remote clinical support is an advantage.
  • Experience in international or cross-border healthcare operations is preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgement in high-acuity situations.
  • Operational flexibility and ability to deploy at short notice.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Understanding of regulatory frameworks related to pharmacy and controlled medications.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional language is an advantage.
  • On-call availability for emergency deployments and escort missions.
  • Travel within Southeast Asia and internationally as required.
