About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Security Advisor to join our team in Madrid. The Senior Security Advisor will be a senior representative of International SOS in the Spanish market, and will focus on the commercial development of security services.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with 10-15 yrs experience in a senior leadership role in a corporate security environment, and previous experience in the military, international intelligence or security operations, who is highly skilled at networking and developing relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the vision and commercial strategy for the Spanish market, in cooperation with all stakeholders at the Madrid office
- Leverage their network to maintain and develop high-level relationships and collaboration with Security Directors of the 50 largest Spanish companies.
- Support the security agendas of all clients and prospects by providing professional advice on employee mobility security issues.
- Represent International SOS with major security organisations and associations and events.
- Support our innovation agenda by contributing ideas and use cases for potential evolutions of our products and services.
- Strengthen International SOS’s visibility in the Thought Leadership space in Spain by participating in conferences and acting as a senior expert in the media as part of our public relations strategy.
- Support the Government agenda in Spain by advising on current and future strategy.
Market Intelligence & Thought Leadership
- Monitor the employee mobility risk management market to better understand competition, new products, market reputation, customer expectations and to adapt solutions accordingly.
- Contribute to thought leadership positioning through participation in seminars, conferences, speeches, and articles in specialized publications, representing International SOS.
- Develop regular contacts with Spanish government entities (Defense, Interior, Foreign Affairs, Economy and Finance, Intelligence Community, etc.) to strengthen awareness of International SOS capabilities and identify opportunities to outsource such solutions.
Specific Responsibilities
- Develop strong, long-lasting peer-to-peer relationships with senior security directors in the Spanish market (clients and prospects).
- Explain and promote our Security solutions to senior-level security and non-security experts, in Spanish or English.
- Support business development through the introduction of potential prospects.
- Contribute to account management by participating in client meetings (quarterly reviews, crisis management, complaint management, etc.)
About you
• 10-15 years’ experience in corporate security environment.
• Strong demonstratable understanding of corporate security and risk mitigation concepts
• Business development experience advantageous, as well as good commercial acumen
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to navigate complex matrix organizations.
• Excellent influencing and stakeholder engagement skills
• Relationship building
• Previous military experience highly desirable
• Team player
