About the role

This role leads the definition, governance, and evolution of our enterprise data architecture to deliver scalable, trusted, and insight‑ready data solutions. You will shape modern data platforms, models, and standards that enable analytics, operational excellence, and AI readiness across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Define and maintain enterprise‑wide data architecture aligned with product and technology strategies.
  • Design and govern conceptual, logical, and physical data models across analytical, transactional, and operational domains.
  • Drive data modelling standards using approaches such as Dimensional, Data Vault 2.0, and normalisation techniques.Lead architectural design for data lakes, data warehouses, and lakehouse platforms built on cloud‑native services.
  • Establish data governance practices including metadata management, lineage, ownership models, and quality frameworks.
  • Oversee data ingestion, transformation, and integration pipelines across batch, streaming, and real‑time patterns.
  • Ensure data platforms support BI, advanced analytics, and AI/ML workloads, including feature engineering readiness.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed architectural best practice and review solution designs.
  • Produce clear architectural artefacts such as domain models, data flow diagrams, and architecture decision records.
  • Identify opportunities to modernise, rationalise, and optimise the enterprise data ecosystem

About you

  • Deep technical expertise in data modelling, cloud‑native data architecture (AWS preferred), and modern data platform design.
  • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, CDC, event streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka/Kinesis), and API‑based integrations.
  • Skilled in data governance tools and practices such as metadata catalogues, lineage, MDM, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR).
  • Knowledge of lakehouse technologies (e.g., Delta Lake, Apache Iceberg) and analytics platforms such as Power BI or QuickSight.
  • Able to communicate complex architectural concepts clearly and influence diverse technical and non‑technical stakeholders
