About the role

The HR Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering strategic HR projects that support workforce planning, organisational effectiveness and business priorities. Working closely with Senior Leadership, HR Strategy, HR Business Partners and Recruitment, the role translates workforce requirements into structured, actionable plans and ensures the successful delivery of people-related initiatives across the organisation.

The role has a particular focus on workforce strategy, organisational planning, resource forecasting and talent pipelining, ensuring the organisation has the right workforce capacity, structure and capabilities to meet current and future operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end HR and workforce projects, ensuring delivery against agreed scope, timelines and objectives.

  • Develop workforce plans aligned with operational requirements and business strategy.

  • Partner with Senior Leadership and HR to identify workforce priorities, risks and future resource requirements.

  • Collaborate with Recruitment to translate workforce forecasts into hiring plans and proactive talent pipelines.

  • Coordinate workforce mobilisation, organisational change and resource planning initiatives.

  • Analyse workforce data, headcount, vacancies and recruitment pipelines to support decision-making.

  • Support organisational design, workforce structures and resource allocation.

  • Manage project governance, risks, dependencies and senior stakeholder reporting.

  • Facilitate collaboration across HR, Recruitment, Finance, Operations and Senior Leadership.

  • Drive continuous improvement across HR projects and workforce planning processes.

About you

  • Senior HR qualification (CIPD or equivalent).
  • Strong experience in strategic workforce and organisational planning.
  • Experience in workforce forecasting, resource planning and talent pipelining.
  • Proven track record delivering complex, cross-functional HR projects.
  • Confident partnering with Senior Leadership, HR, Recruitment and operational teams.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and stakeholder management skills.
  • PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification desirable.
