About the role
An integral role within the Medical Services Centre – Leduc, the Logistics Operations Manager:
- Leads and develops a high‑performing logistics operations team that delivers safe, reliable, and responsive support to meet dynamic operational and client priorities.
- Ensures end‑to‑end effectiveness of logistics, supply chain, and fleet operations, including inventory management, sourcing, deployment, maintenance, and readiness of critical assets.
- Maintains strong operational governance and supplier performance, ensuring compliance with standards, managing risks, and driving continuous improvement across all functions.
- Safeguards operational continuity by proactively managing assets, responding to disruptions, and sustaining reliable services in both routine and urgent environments
We are presently staffing for a Full-time Logistics Operations Manager based out of our Leduc, AB office. This is an in-person role and the hours are Monday to Friday 8 am until 4 pm. There is a regional travel (Western Canada) requirement of approximately <10% of the time. This full-time salaried position is benefits, bonus and RRSP eligible.
Key responsibilities
Operational & People Leadership
- Lead the day-to-day performance of the Logistics Operations team, ensuring safe, reliable and responsive delivery of logistics, supply chain and fleet support to meet rapidly changing client and operational priorities.
- Support a high performing, engaged team through clear direction, coaching and mentoring, fostering accountability, collaboration and professional conduct.
- Ensure staff are appropriately trained, competent and supported to operate effectively in both routine and urgent operational environments.
- Maintain clear team structures, on-call arrangements and escalation pathways to support out-of-hours and time-critical operational requirements.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, adaptability and service excellence in support of client and operational outcomes.
Logistics & Supply Chain Operations
- Ensure timely sourcing, storage and distribution of medical & fire rescue equipment, consumables and medications in line with operational demand and client requirements.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels, minimise expiry and ensure product integrity through effective inventory management and warehouse best practice.
- Oversee logistics planning and delivery schedules to project sites, prioritising urgent requests and ensuring continuity of critical supplies.
- Ensure systems and master data are accurate, maintained and fit for operational use.
Fleet & Deployable Assets
- Ensure operational readiness, availability and safe deployment of fleet and deployable assets, including vehicles, communication devices and medical equipment and response kits.
- Oversee maintenance, inspection and compliance activities, working with in-house mechanics and third-party providers as required.
- Ensure effective tracking, utilisation monitoring and journey management in line with company standards and risk controls.
- Respond decisively to fleet-related incidents or disruptions to maintain service continuity
Supplier & Service Partner Management
- Maintain effective relationships with key suppliers and service partners to ensure quality, availability and responsiveness.
- Ensure suppliers are appropriately qualified, performance-managed and aligned to operational and client service expectations.
Operational Governance & Quality
- Ensure compliance with company standards, procedures and quality requirements across logistics, supply chain and fleet operations.
- Address non-compliance and operational risks promptly, implementing corrective actions and driving sustainable improvement.
- Provide concise operational reporting focused on asset availability, risks, exceptions and emerging priorities

Required Work Experience
• Minimum 5 years of related work experience in logistics / operations management with sound understanding of supply chain management principles.
