The SME – Productivity & Unified Communication is a hands-on technical role responsible for engineering, supporting, and improving collaboration platforms. This role focuses on building reliable, secure, and user-friendly communication services that enable people to work effectively from anywhere.

At International SOS, your work helps ensure that teams can communicate clearly in critical moments. You will work across global environments to improve how collaboration platforms are delivered, used, and supported.

We’re looking for someone who is practical, curious, and focused on improving how technology supports people at work.

Key Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

Build Collaboration Platforms

o Design, implement, and support collaboration and messaging solutions (M365, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint).
o Ensure platforms are secure, stable, and aligned with enterprise standards.
o Support both cloud and hybrid environments where needed.

 

• Drive Service Improvement

o Identify areas to improve performance, usability, and reliability of collaboration tools.
o Simplify platform configurations and improve user experience.
o Contribute to standardisation and best practices across services.

 

• Support Operations & Reliability

o Monitor platform health and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
o Provide support for complex technical problems and escalations.
o Help prevent recurring issues through proactive improvements.

 

• Work Across Teams

o Collaborate with identity, endpoint, and security teams to deliver integrated services.
o Support business teams by improving collaboration capabilities.
o Work with vendors and partners to maintain and enhance platforms.

 

 

Job Requirements

Required Work Experience

  • Experience in enterprise messaging, collaboration, or unified communication roles.
  • Experience improving platform performance, usability, or service delivery in production environments.
  • Experience with cloud collaboration platforms (e.g. M365, Zoom, Teams)
  • Experience working in regional or global environments is beneficial.
  • We do not require a specific number of years. We care about what you’ve built, improved, and learned.

Required Qualifications

•      Degree or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related fields.
•      Certifications in cloud, identity, endpoint, or collaboration technologies are welcome but not mandatory.
•      Continuous learning mindset — staying current with evolving technologies, trends, and best practices is strongly valued.

Travel / Rotation Requirements

  • 5-10% of international travel
  • On-call as part of Operational escalation channel
