As a Senior Healthcare Provider Network Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the quality, capability, and resilience of that network across Southern Africa and beyond.
This role is not an IT networking position — it is a leadership role at the center of healthcare, security, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
You will be accountable for leading, developing, and governing the regional provider network, ensuring it is:
· High-quality and clinically safe
· Operationally reliable and geographically suitable
· Cost-efficient and commercially competitive
· Compliant with internal and regulatory standards
· Strategically aligned with business and client needs
You will influence decisions across medical, security, aviation, operations, finance, and sales teams — acting as the regional focal point for all Network Services.
What You Will Lead & Deliver
1. Network Leadership & Strategy
You will design and execute the regional Healthcare & Assistance Provider Network Development Plan, ensuring the network remains:
· Right-sized
· Fit-for-purpose
· Future-ready
· Fully aligned with service delivery requirements
You will establish strong governance around:
· Provider data accuracy
· Payment discipline
· Clinical and safety standards
· Audit cycles and continuous improvement
2. Network Development & Quality Assurance
Your work will take you into the field — literally and figuratively.
You will conduct both onsite and remote assessments to verify:
· Clinical governance
· Safety protocols
· Emergency readiness
· Infrastructure capability
· Fleet, aviation, and security standards
You will also identify and onboard new providers, including non-traditional and emerging providers, strengthening the resilience and diversity of our SPIN network.
3. Provider & Stakeholder Relationship Management
You will nurture vital partnerships with key providers, ensuring:
· Long-term collaboration
· Strong performance
· Access to essential services
· Competitive commercial terms
This includes negotiating discounts, resolving performance challenges, and ensuring prompt financial reconciliation with the support of Finance teams.
4. Business & Operational Support
Your expertise will support:
· Complex operational case management
· Accurate costing for proposals and tenders
· Product design for new or updated healthcare offerings
· Network-related projects, reforms, and system enhancements (e.g., SPIN improvements)
You will also contribute to staff capability development, ensuring operational teams understand provider strengths and limitations.
5. Service Delivery Oversight
You will develop operational guidelines for challenging or high-risk locations, ensuring frontline teams have clear, practical, and safe solutions at all times.

· Commercial efficiency and negotiated value
· Payment governance and data accuracy
· Provider performance and remediation
· Coverage gaps and diversification strategy
· Cross-functional alignment and stakeholder engagement
· Leadership of the Network Partnership Relationship Manager
Required Experience & Qualifications:
Required:
· 5+ years in Healthcare Management, Provider Network Management, Provider Relations, or Contracting
· Strong experience in B2B healthcare environments
· Negotiation and commercial partnership experience
· Proven ability to improve provider performance
· Project management capability
· Solid understanding of the regional healthcare landscape
Preferred:
· Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management or Business Administration
· A medical qualification (advantageous)
· Additional languages: French and/or Portuguese
· Ability to travel when required at short notice
