Air Rescue Medical Lead and Flight Doctors

Overview

Air Rescue provides Air Ambulance services throughout Africa and surrounding islands. Air Rescue is an internationally accredited Air Ambulance service operating from Lanseria Airport performing international Air Ambulance flights.

Air Rescue is looking for a suitably experienced Medical Practitioners with Air Ambulance experience and an interest in working in either the Medical Lead role or as part time Flight Doctors. The Medical Lead Doctor would be responsible for the clinical governance of the Air Ambulance service as well as managing the air ambulance crews and will participate in Air Ambulance flights on a regular basis. The Flight Doctors would report to the Medical Lead Doctor.

Education

• MBBCh - HPCSA – Independent Practice, minimum 5 years post graduate
• Dip (PEC) or Dip Anaesthetics
• Aviation Medical Training
• Advanced Ultrasound Certification
• Current ATLS, ACLS, NALS, PALS and AIME

Experience

• Minimum 1 years Flight Doctor experience with a recognized Air Ambulance organisation
• Strong ICU, Emergency and Trauma background
• Must be working in Emergency Department or similar Emergency care environment

• Excellent clinical knowledge and practice experience
• Able to work under pressure and deliver results to deadlines
• Be independent and firm, at same time a team player
• Good interpersonal skills to work in the team
