Role Overview:
The International SOS Consulting business unit and regional practices focus on designing, marketing, and delivering advisory services, programs, and managed services to our clients. The overall delivery framework comprises of:
Advisory:
Providing clients with the global expertise and resources necessary to develop best-in-class risk mitigation and workplace programs. We also provide access to our medical and security experts to help build internal systems to best prepare, respond to and manage issues most critical to the organization.
Programs:
Providing clients with a market-leading suite of end-to-end advisory and management services. We also provide oversight of the client journey, inclusive of process and protocol finalisation, to effectively engage clients, successfully implement their solutions, and position them for ongoing success.
Managed Services:
Providing select clients with customised solutions that might include services ranging from information analysis, assessment, service arrangement, forecasting and advisory.
The Engagement Director – Health Consulting Solutions is a senior commercial and client-facing role responsible for driving growth of the Health Consulting Practice across North America. The role focuses on originating, shaping, and closing complex consulting engagements while ensuring high-quality, scalable, and client-centric solution design.
The Engagement Director partners closely with Sales, Account Management, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Delivery teams to develop differentiated health consulting solutions that address client needs related to workforce health, wellbeing, risk mitigation, and business continuity. The role serves as a critical leadership position across the full engagement lifecycle from opportunity identification and solution development through contract closure and successful delivery oversight. This role carries a significant individual business development target and is incentivized on overall Practice growth.

Health consulting services include, but are not limited to:
- Corporate and occupational health advisory
- Workforce health and wellbeing programs
- Mental health strategy and program design
- Infectious disease mitigation and response
- Health risk management and business continuity planning
- Health governance frameworks and corporate health policies
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Business Development & Growth
- Lead business development efforts for Health Consulting Solutions across North America, with a strong focus on new logo acquisition and expansion within strategic accounts.
- Partner with Sales and Account Management teams to identify, qualify, and pursue consulting opportunities aligned to client needs and regional priorities.
- Own the end-to-end pursuit of complex consulting engagements, from opportunity shaping through proposal development, pricing, and contract close.
- Proactively identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities across the broader health and risk consulting portfolio.
- Support responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs, including solution design, commercial structuring, and differentiation strategy.
- Maintain oversight of consulting pipeline, forecasts, and revenue targets.
Solutions Development & Consulting Design
- Collaborate with SMEs to design, scope, and package innovative health consulting solutions aligned to market demand.
- Lead client discovery, needs assessments, and gap analyses to define practical, high-impact consulting solutions.
- Develop scalable, repeatable consulting offerings while retaining flexibility for bespoke client requirements.
- Ensure solutions are commercially viable, operationally feasible, and aligned with global standards and capabilities.
- Contribute to the development of new health consulting products and services based on client insight and market trends.
Client Engagement & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a senior advisor to clients, building trusted relationships with executive stakeholders.
- Translate client business challenges into clear consulting strategies and solution roadmaps.
- Ensure a strong client experience across the engagement lifecycle, supporting long-term partnerships and retention.
- Lead or support senior-level client presentations, workshops, and solution reviews.
Delivery Oversight & Quality Assurance
- Partner with Consulting Delivery and Program Management teams to ensure successful execution of consulting engagements.
- Provide oversight to ensure delivery meets contractual commitments, quality standards, and client expectations.
- Support issue resolution and course correction where required to protect client outcomes and commercial performance.
- Ensure effective handover from sales to delivery teams.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Work collaboratively across Sales, Account Management, Products & Solutions, Medical Services, and Consulting Delivery teams globally.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to consulting and solution development team members.
- Contribute to the strategic direction and growth planning of the Health Consulting Practice in North America.
Qualifications:
Experience & Capabilities
Proven success in consulting business development, ideally within health, risk, or professional services.
- Strong experience designing and selling complex, multi-disciplinary consulting solutions.
- Ability to engage credibly with senior client stakeholders.
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and deal-structuring skills.
- Comfortable operating in a matrixed, global organization.
- Experience working across multiple industries within North America.
- A people person with effective leadership, management and interpersonal skills.
- Must possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders such as customers, sponsors, senior management, project managers, project team members, engagement managers, suppliers, and other program stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple clients and projects.
- Customer-oriented approach.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate, problem-solve, develop strong relationships, influence decisions and manage change.
- Must be able to initiate and work effectively through others with limited supervision to drive results.

- Strong command of excel and numerical skills a must.
Requirements:
Required Work Experience
- + 10 years of working experience of which +3 years working in a similar capacity within sales, customer service, project management, and/or consulting;
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales
- Proven project management and customer service experience;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and customer relationship management (CRM) software;
- Experience within the service industry (preferred).
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in related field;
- Project management certification desired (e.g. CSM, APM, PMBOK etc.).
Required Languages
- English (fluent, business, both oral and written);
- Additional language relevant to location (advantageous).
