Your Mission
As a Cross-trained Laboratory X-Ray Technician, you will deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and laboratory services to support the health and safety of all personnel on site. This role combines technical expertise with strict adherence to professional standards, regulatory guidelines, and International SOS protocols. You’ll manage patient administration and maintain accurate medical records, ensure proper handling of specimens, and uphold infection control practices. Additionally, you’ll perform equipment maintenance and calibration, oversee quality control processes, and maintain inventory to guarantee uninterrupted service. Your commitment to precision, compliance, and patient care will be essential in providing reliable diagnostic results and exceptional service in a dynamic work environment.
How You'll Contribute
As a Cross-trained Laboratory X-Ray Technician, you’ll deliver essential diagnostic services that keep operations running smoothly and patients safe:
- Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging and laboratory services in alignment with professional standards and scope of practice set by The Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists.
- Ensure compliance with International SOS protocols, regulatory safety standards, and infection control practices to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
- Manage patient administration and medical records with accuracy and confidentiality, including electronic documentation and proper storage.
- Perform and record laboratory tests, handle specimens according to protocol, and maintain detailed documentation for all cases, including Workers’ Compensation.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory and imaging equipment as per manufacturer guidelines and International SOS standards, ensuring reliability and safety.
- Oversee quality control processes for laboratory and imaging services, reporting any equipment issues promptly and participating in continuous improvement programs.
- Deliver imaging services following established procedures while upholding customer service excellence.
- Monitor inventory and manage reagents to ensure availability and compliance with cold chain and storage requirements.
- Participate in scheduled meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives, contributing to a culture of safety and excellence.
The Talent We’re Looking For
Must-haves (minimum requirements):
· Certification from the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologists
· CPR/AED HCP
· ACLS
· CSTS
· eGSO - Orientation through ENFORM
· H2S Alive
