About the role
This position involves delivering high-quality training across IMEA and APAC regions, including aviation, maritime, and internal programs. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about educational excellence, focusing on positively impacting students in commercial and business aviation.
Responsibilities include developing curricula, implementing new medical training initiatives, and supporting the worldwide medical instructor quality assurance program through onsite observations and mentoring. The trainer will collaborate with Sales and Account Management teams to grow the business, provide strategic insights, support key accounts, and engage in proactive outreach.
The role aims to drive business growth by delivering impactful training sessions, creating tailored educational content, and ensuring exceptional program quality. The trainer will identify new revenue opportunities through educational services and contribute to achieving sales and training targets.
Key responsibilities
- Engage with key accounts to understand their training needs and create tailored solutions to enhance client satisfaction and business growth. Use insights from these engagements to improve training content and delivery methods.
- Collaborate with sales and account management teams to align educational services with business goals, supporting client acquisition, retention, and expansion through targeted training initiatives. Utilize proactive outreach to identify new opportunities for client acquisition, retention, and expansion, integrating these efforts into broader business development activities.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, representing the department and company at seminars and conferences (MEBAA, EBACE, IATA). Contribute to department publications and communications for internal and external clients.
- Assist in developing medical training curricula based on customer needs and requirements. Conduct high-impact, regionally tailored medical training for IMEA and APAC clients. Maintain client information confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and other regulations. Ensure training rooms and instructors comply with local regulations (DHA, DCAS, GCAA).
- Make sure stock checks are regularly done and all equipment/consumables are in order.
- Be available to travel to conduct the training at clients’ premises as per their request
Skills and Knowledge
- Proven ability to operate educational and media equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently.
- Extensive experience in aviation as flying crew and teaching First Aid in commercial or business aviation.
- Background in pharmacy with knowledge of medications and medical supplies for aviation and maritime.
- Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality educational content and training programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with diverse clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and time zones (USA, Europe, Asia).
- Flexible and adaptive to dynamic environments, committed to continuous professional development and innovation in training methods.
- Agility to enter/exit a plane or boat safely.
- Ability to perform physical skills like CPR demonstration.
- Ability to lift, pull, or carry training equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to function in various environments with moderate noise levels and potentially hot/cold conditions.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years experience directly related to curriculum development for adult learners.
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent degree. Master’s Degree preferred
- Current American Heart Association BLS Instructor or Heart saver Instructor certification required.
- Must be fluent in English.
- Travel / Rotation Requirements (Brief description of any travel or rotation requirements)
- Must possess valid driver’s license and passport.
- Must be able to travel by air/road domestically and internationally.
