Purpose of the role.

The Director, Talent Management and Development – Medical Services provides strategic leadership and expert guidance on all TM&D matters, aligned with Group talent strategy. The role enables the Medical Services business to attract, develop, and retain critical talent through effective frameworks, infrastructure, and capability building.
As the central point of contact for TM&D within Medical Services, the role delivers thought leadership, drives strategic talent initiatives, and builds a strong TM&D community that promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing across regions. The position is also a key member of the Group HR Leadership – Talent & Development team.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Leadership

Define and lead the MSBL TM&D strategy aligned to Group and HR objectives.
Act as a strategic partner to senior leaders, embedding a consistent and inclusive TM&D approach across regions.
Translate strategy into a clear, executable roadmap with measurable impact.

Talent Management

Lead the MSBL talent review process in partnership with Regional HRDs and EXCOs.
Build and manage leadership, succession, and deployment talent pools for critical roles.
Enable internal mobility and support pipelines for senior and General Management positions.
Own competency frameworks, 360 assessments, and talent insights to support hiring, development, and promotion decisions.
Track effectiveness and ROI of talent initiatives.

Leadership & Capability Development

Identify leadership and capability needs and design scalable development solutions.
Drive career pathing, succession planning, and the 70/20/10 development framework.
Design and deliver leadership, management, and nationalisation-focused development programmes.
Coach senior leaders using assessments and best‑practice development tools.
Ensure compliance training requirements are met across MSBL.

Sales Enablement

Lead sales enablement strategy aligned to business growth and customer experience.
Partner with Sales Leadership to address capability gaps and develop future sales leaders.
Embed sales learning pathways within the broader TM&D framework.

Technology & Data

Lead adoption of MyHR Talent Management modules across regions.
Ensure strong talent data governance, reporting, and insight generation.
Leverage data to inform workforce, succession, and capability decisions.

Capability & Projects

Build and coach TM&D capability across regions and global teams.
Lead and support global HR and TM&D transformation projects.
Ensure high‑quality delivery through strong governance and stakeholder alignment.

Health & Safety

Comply with all Occupational Health & Safety policies and requirements.

Requirements

Required Work Experience 

+15 years of working experience of which 10 years is in Talent Management and Development and 5 years leading the function in a global capacity for an MNC;

Experience leading the implementation of Talent Management and Development initiatives across multiple geographies and operating within a complex matrix environment;

Experience with global HRIS systems required;

Knowledge of running talent review and management practices;

Proven track record of implementing and delivering leadership L&D initiatives;

Proven project management experience;

Experience within the service industry (preferred).


Required Qualifications 

Diploma or bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field

English (fluent, business, both oral and written);

Additional languages (advantageous).
