About the role
International SOS is seeking a Provider Affairs Specialist to join our team based in Cairo, Egypt!
In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the development, management, and maintenance of our provider network within your allocated territory. You will ensure the highest standards of quality, partnership, and cost containment for International SOS clients and business units while also supporting our business development objectives.
You will work closely with the Network Services Manager to achieve the goals outlined in the Region’s Network Development Plan, playing a key part in strengthening our global healthcare network.
Key responsibilities
- Taking ownership and execute on local network development plan, as well as projects assigned.
- Taking ownership and execute on complex administrative tasks.
- Support in the preparation, completion as well as execution of network trips.
- Validate provider capabilities to establish suitability for client specific programs.
- Perform formal desktop and onsite assessments on providers.
- Educate providers on International SOS operational and billing processes, as well as client specific requirements.
- Working with Network Services and Finance teams to resolve provider payment queries, ensuring providers gets paid on time and are educated regarding payment processes across different business lines and programs. Assist in resolving provider billing queries. Follow up with providers and internal stakeholders respectively for resolution.
- Maintain provider relationships to ensure good collaboration and outcomes.
- Prepare, present and discuss agreements with selected providers.
- Assist with specific reporting requests on relevant network trends.
- Provide network support to Assistance Desk, as assigned and supervised by Network Services Manager
- Ensure that the provider and location data base is kept up to date, and that the integrity and quality of data is maintained in accordance with Group Network Services Procedures.
- Validating and updating provider and location data into a central data base system.
- Supporting routine data and credentialing maintenance activities, as needed.
- Maintaining country specific credentialing rules for all countries in an assigned territory and monitor compliance to the rules agreed.
- Manage credentialing waiver process for eligible providers in close collaboration with the relevant regional and group stakeholders.
Required Work Experience
- 3 years working experience in an administration role, preferably in healthcare or service industry.
- Experience within an operational and / or procedural driven environment.
- Experience within the considered geographical territory (optional)
- Experience in the healthcare or health insurance sector will be considered an advantage.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Tertiary qualification in 'Medical, Healthcare Management or Customer Service Industry desirable
Required Languages
- Excellent written and spoken English and Arabic
