About the role

The role serves as the main HR contact for HR activities in Egypt. The ideal candidate will provdie HR support within Egypt in all aspects of human resource management practices as required in an excellent and timely manner. This includes managing the payroll, employment contracts HR operations as well as to attract, identify and recruit both staff and contract roles across designated business areas as well as  provide support to the other Sub-Regions as required. This will also involve developing and maintaining strong working relationships with hiring managers, agencies and other team members to create a partnership that yields success, predictable results and credibility.

Key responsibilities

Business Partnering:

  • Develop and maintain employee policies aligned with local laws and corporate values.
  • Foster positive employee relations through proactive management and welfare programs.
  • Ensure facilities contribute positively to staff morale and productivity.
  • Maintain constant, friendly interaction with staff at all levels.
  • Build relationships with external recruitment partners for specialized needs.
  • Prepare and revise job descriptions with hiring managers.
  • Provide reports on local salary information, market trends, and advertising results.
  • Collaborate on budget and market trends, and initiate business cases for new headcounts.
  • Update senior management on projects, training, issues, and organizational initiatives.
  • Develop and implement onboarding programs reflecting corporate values and local best practices.
  • Maintain onboarding documentation relevant to the location in collaboration with the local HR team.
  • Participate in HR projects across the region as required.

Payroll and Benefits:

  • Assist with auditing employee files and maintaining HR records.
  • Welcome new employees and ensure accurate handover to Payroll and Benefits Specialist.
  • Manage employee certificates, documents, and forms.
  • Handle employee birthday and work anniversary emails.
  • Assist with distributing Pension Fund books and submitting forms for new recruits and terminated employees.

Office Administration and Coordination:

  • Provide office assistance including printing, mail handling, and stock replenishment.
  • Book meeting rooms and assist with printing and binding for workshops/training.

Direct Sourcing:

  • Place adverts on job boards and filter CVs, manage recruitment and conduct interviews.
  • Develop creative branding and sourcing strategies and implement structured interview guides and testing.
  • Manage induction events and careers fairs.
  • Maintain accurate lists of internal live vacancies and ensure administration is up to date.
  • Participate in developing ongoing creative and cost-effective sourcing strategies.

Candidate Management & Reporting:

  • Schedule and manage logistics for interviews and ensure post-interview feedback is provided.
  • Handle offer, negotiation, and closing processes and maintain accurate candidate documentation.

Legal Compliance:

  • Ensure HR policies comply with local labor laws.
  • Stay updated on relevant recruitment legislation.

OH&S Responsibility:

  • Utilize hazard identification and risk management processes.
  • Apply OH&S policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure hazards and incidents are reported and investigated.
  • Ensure all plant and equipment are properly maintained.
  • Undertake mandatory OH&S training and comply with safe work practices.
  • Cooperate with management to fulfill legislative obligations.
  • Take reasonable care to ensure personal and others' health and safety, and report any hazards or injuries promptly.

About you

As the ideal candidate, you would have:

  • Minimum 3 years Proven work experience as a HR Generalist and Recruiter 
  • A skilled level of knowledge in all recruiting components including, but not limited to, payroll administration, sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, relationship management, and due diligence. 
  • Very strong experience direct sourcing for various roles and levels.
  • Proven commercial experience of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment with high workload.
  • Previous experience of managing challenging situations with clients or customers.
  • Good level of project management, writing, and oral communication skills are required.
  • Strong IT skills including MS Office
  • Excellent written and oral English Language
  • French and/or Arabic (advantage) 
  • Ready to travel as required
