About the role

The MSS Manager develops and maintains effective, reliable and profitable supply chain solutions in response to our clients’ needs whilst ensuring compliance to the groups policies and relevant country regulations.

 

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency — with customer satisfaction the primary goal — by supervising, organizing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
  • Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, gate processes, and shipping methods
  • Train and manage the warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
  • Oversee daily operations while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
  • Review and prepare workflows, staffing requirements, space allocations, equipment layouts, and action plans that meet company standards for productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and by complying with legal regulations
  • Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, shipping, and customer service
  • Respond and provide pricing for both internal and external requests for quotation (RFQ)
  • Follow the required Business Continuity Plans during crises

 

About you

  • Computer literacy on most MS Office packages
  • Financial processing/ERP Experience advantageous
  • Able to function independently within predetermined boundaries
  • Able to develop and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with manager, clients, service providers and employees
  • A minimum of 8 years working experience within a supply chain function, proven track record in supply chain or freight forwarding environments
  • A minimum of 3 years Management or supervisor experience
  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Purchasing and supply or related field
  • English and Arabic language skills (oral and written) an absolute must
  • Regular visits to suppliers and client sites to follow-up on issues
  • Travel across Iraq required as per business and site requirements
