Coordinating Nurse

We are looking for experienced Nurses (RN) to join our medical team in Phoenix, AZ. This is a fantastic opportunity for nurses to move from the demands of a clinical environment to an office-based role whilst still applying their nursing expertise. 

 

This role is responsible for managing the routine medical activity associated with client requests for services. Coordinates, as necessary interactions between clients, physicians, hospitals, and various ancillary medical providers to affect a positive case outcome.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Triage incoming calls to ensure appropriate resolution of medical situations, escalating medical issues to other resources as appropriate.
  • Monitor and manage open cases to closure to ensure appropriate medical outcomes and financial compliance according to current standards.
  • Provide pre-travel and evacuation medical assistance in response to customer inquiries, including but is not limited to coordination of medical evacuation services, and/or provision of health and travel information to clients.
  • Review case records and report results to evaluate the quality of services delivered in compliance with specified criteria.
  • Maintain all client information that may be encountered either directly or indirectly while in the performance of the job in strict confidence in accordance with HIPAA and/or any other pertinent confidentiality regulations.
  • Manage all cases with identified cost containment strategies.
     

Required Work Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of recent experience in ICU or ER or related medical experience to be reviewed and approved by the Medical Director. ·
  • Previous flight experience, telephone triage, aviation, maritime, and/or international assistance experience preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Effective customer service and telephone skills.
  • Basic level competency with use of personal computer and various software packages.

Required Competencies

  • Demonstrated triage experience.
  • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective prioritization and critical thinking skills.
  • Effective management of stress tolerance.

Required Qualifications

  • Must possess a current Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona or be able to obtain such license.
  • Must at least show proof of application for a temporary license and must obtain such within 2 weeks of employment and must furnish proof of permanent AZ licensure within 4 months of start date to maintain employment.
  • Must possess current ACLS.
