Job Purpose:
Reporting to the CFO Assistance Services Americas, the Financial Controller Assistance Americas will be responsible for the statutory accounting and financial controls and processes, ensuring accuracy of the financial data, working in conjunction with the Global Shared Services (GSS) for the Americas. The Controller will also be responsible for providing audit support, preparing complex accruals, CAPEX management (including budgeting, tracking and reporting), 1099 compliance, and tax expense calculation. In addition, will also be responsible for maintaining effective communication with the finance representatives and other key stakeholders of the different sub-locations rolling up under the primary US and Canada legal entity, to ensure a timely and accurate closing process. This is a hands-on role, the FC is responsible for the accuracy of Balance Sheet and P&L data.

Our organization follows a hybrid work structure where employees are required to work from the office 3 days a week. Office location in Trevose, PA, with planned move to Blue Bell, PA in fall 2025. #Americas
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
General Responsibilities
- Manage the relationship with the external auditors and prepare for the annual audit.
- Assist with the management and maintenance of the overall Global Shared Services relationship
- Work closely with the GSS team to prepare required financial statements
- Responsible for the review of the overall financials during the monthly and year-end close process to ascertain accuracy and ensuring processes are in place to avoid risk of misstatement
- Coordination and review of all critical accounting transactions processed by the GSS teams as well as the local Accountant
- Management of the overall CAPEX process including budgeting, recording, reporting and tracking process for the US entity
- Management of company insurance policies, including cost allocation to operating business units
- Management of the Year-End 1099 Issuance
- Respond to and assist with the resolution of queries from Corporate Finance, Taxation and other Intl. SOS entities on accounting related matters
- Assist and liaise with other Finance functions to ensure complete ownership of the primary entity’s financial data and to provide better financial visibility to the CFO Assistance Americas
- Provide continuous process improvements and documentation of workflows within the Assistance Business Line Americas
Responsibilities, Cont:
Accounting
- Ensure accurate and timely financial information is produced for management and legal entity accounting purposes
- Assist with the preparation of complex accruals
- Manage statutory audit
Standards and Controls
- Ensure compliance in accounting / reporting treatments in line with Group requirements
- Implement and document reliable and strong internal processes
Tax and Related
- Maintain proper provision for Corporate Income Tax for all entities in perimeter
- Prepare necessary accounting information for Tax Compliance requirements
- Work with Corporate office Tax team and CFO Assistance Americas to ensure optimized tax compliance
- Oversee timely and accurate filling of all relevant tax documentation with local authorities as well as tax payments for entities in perimeter
- Liaising with appointed tax advisors
Projects and Process improvements
- Lead or implement new projects having an impact on General Accounting and Controls
- Continuously review processes and procedures to ensure efficient workflow to maximize staff efficiency
- Build strong systems knowledge across accounting and finance function
- Ensure optimum use of current and future accounting and financial systems
Team Management
- Provide leadership and guidance to Staff Accountant and Global Shared Services, as well as continuous monitoring and assessment of performance and career development to ensure retention of motivated and competent personnel
Requirements:
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Familiarity with US GAAP and IFRS
- Advanced Excel skills
- Familiarity with ERP systems, including data mining and report retrieval
- Good written and oral communication
- Analytical skills to provide detailed and valuable business analysis to management
- Able to work under pressure, deliver results and observe deadlines
Required Work Experience:
- At least 8 years of experience in a Big 4 Accounting Firm or within an MNC Accounting Function
- Must have demonstrated success in driving efficiency and productivity, and managing/leading change
- Operated successfully in a fast-paced environment with a matrix reporting structure
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting or related field.
- Certified Public Accountant required
