Overall Purpose of the Role

International SOS Government Services is a global leader in medical and security assistance, providing critical support to TRICARE beneficiaries worldwide. We are seeking an experienced Autism Specific Care Manager to join our TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP) team in either Philadelphia, PA (Trevose) or San Antonio, TX. This role is instrumental in supporting the coordination and management of the Autism Care Demonstration (ACD) Program, which provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to TRICARE-eligible beneficiaries diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

 

Position Overview:

The Autism Specific Care Manager is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of the ACD Program, advocating for beneficiaries and their families, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quality care. This role requires expertise in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and a deep understanding of ASD treatment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess eligibility and clinical referrals for ACD program enrollment, ensuring compliance with TRICARE policies.
  • Conduct utilization reviews and evaluate medical necessity for ABA services.
  • Support the coordination of care by identifying appropriate ABA providers overseas.
  • Collaborate with Managed Care Support Contractors (MCSCs) for continuity of care during relocations.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in ABA and ASD-related services, assisting with claims reviews and quality evaluations.
  • Educate beneficiaries and their families about the ACD Program, ensuring they understand their care options.
  • Develop and deliver provider education and training programs to enhance service delivery.
  • Monitor and track clinical documentation, ensuring timely submission and compliance.
  • Support the Quality Assurance Team with grievance handling, appeals, and quality assessments related to ABA services.
  • Interface with Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) and other stakeholders to provide program updates and education.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification – Required.
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in ASD/ABA services.
  • Experience in case management, program coordination, or managed healthcare services.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based treatment models for ASD.
  • Familiarity with TRICARE policies and military healthcare systems is preferred.
  • Experience working with international healthcare providers is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a remote team and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • This position does require someone who can obtain and maintain the appropriate level of tiered investigation access for a position of Trust after being offered a position. International SOS will facilitate.
