We are looking for a Senior HR Business Partner (HRBP) to lead our Government Services HR function in San Antonio, Texas. If you are a strategic, hands-on HR leader with a passion for driving business outcomes through effective workforce management, this is the role for you!
As the Senior HRBP, Government Services, you will be the primary HR leader in San Antonio, supporting the TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP) and other government contracts. You will be responsible for providing end-to-end HR services, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and contract-specific regulations while partnering with internal and external stakeholders to enhance our people strategies. This role requires a seasoned HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, highly matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities
HR Leadership & Service Delivery
Lead HR operations for Government Services, ensuring policies, procedures, and compliance align with business goals. Oversee employee relations, performance management, compensation, and benefits. Partner with HR Centers of Excellence (COEs) to optimize service delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration
Serve as a trusted advisor to Government Services leadership. Collaborate with global HR teams for consistency and alignment. Work with Payroll, Finance, Security Clearance Officers, and Legal Counsel to maintain compliance and efficiency.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Manage recruitment and onboarding to attract top talent. Align hiring strategies with business needs and contract requirements. Ensure compliance with background checks, security clearances, and medical screenings.
Employee Relations & Performance Management
Provide guidance on complex employee relations matters, including investigations and disciplinary actions. Lead performance management and coach managers on best practices. Foster engagement to build a high-performance culture.
Compensation & Benefits
Partner with Compensation & Benefits teams to maintain competitive and compliant salary structures. Oversee payroll operations, salary benchmarking, and compensation reviews.
Organizational Development & Change Management
Lead HR-driven organizational development and engagement initiatives. Enhance retention and workforce satisfaction through strategic change management. Use HR analytics for data-driven decision-making.
What you'll need to succeed:
- 8+ years of HR experience with a strong focus on business partnership and operational HR leadership.
- Prior experience supporting government contracts, military health programs, or medical/insurance environments is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage HR operations, employee relations, workforce planning, and compliance.
- Experience working with HRIS platforms (SuccessFactors preferred) and HR analytics tools.
- This position does require someone who can obtain and maintain the appropriate level of tiered investigation access for a position of Trust after being offered a position. International SOS will facilitate.
