Overall Purpose of the Role
The Head of Readiness will be responsible for the overall planning, execution, and governance of the Medical Capability Reporting (MCR), Health Information Reports (HIR), TOP Aeromedical Evacuations (AE), disaster and combatant command contingency plans and programs.
MCR Portfolio Objective – To successfully deliver medical capability reports (MCRs) to the DHA to a consistently high standard of quality within required deadlines, and to grow the MCR service line outside of TOP. To expand medical capability reporting via the HIR process.
AE Portfolio Objective – Responsible for providing clear leadership in the delivery of professional and effective medical and aviation transport services for the TOP while implementing strategies to increase customer value, integration and aviation services growth.
Contingency Portfolio Objective – Manage TOP contingency planning and execution in accordance with both CDRL-P070 - Contingency Program Plan and the CDRL-P060 Combatant Command (CCMD) Contingency Support Plan, as well as coordinate participation in CCMD and MTF exercises as directed by the client.
Key Responsibilities
Medical Capability Reports (MCR) Program
• Overall management responsibility for the MCR team members and product Key Performance Indicator (KPI) success
• Providing support to the MCR Team Lead to provide non-clinical quality approval of MCRs
• Working with the MCR Team Lead to implement a continuous quality and productivity improvement program for the MCR service line
• Managing MCR risks and issues, and taking corrective actions
• Escalation point for the MCR Team Leader for team, client, or product related items and/or issues
• Escalation point for the client for MCR product related items and/or issues
• Partnering with Intl.SOS business lines in the promotion of MCRs and development of alternate delivery models via the HIR Process
Aeromedical Evacuation
• Responsible for the organization of transportation programs and offerings to the US Department of Defense (DoD) under the TOP.
• Build relationships with various Theater Patient Movement Requirements Centers (TPMRC) and client stakeholders to expand and maintain International SOS and the TOP position
• In conjunction with International SOS’ regional aviation management structure, provides contingency support and planning to CCMD, as requested.
• Ensures TOP medical transport services and processes are fully integrated into the respective regional service delivery platforms.
• Assists with client interactions to include US TRANSCOM and any meetings which may arise from that in conjunction with the TOP Senior Head of Operations and Regional Medical Directors.
• Acts as quality control on the TOP aviation program by evaluating performance breakdowns and continually reviewing and improving processes as required.
• Monitors and reports contractual SLAs and KPIs relating to aeromedical evacuation, and manages process improvements to ensure compliance.
• Supports audits where appropriate for contractually agreed services such as block overflight landing permission purchases.
• Provides support to review potential over-cost aviation claims upon request, and manages this process in conjunction with TOP claims administration.
• Manages the provision of Civil Aviation Landing Permits for US provider access to military bases.
Contingency Planning and Execution
• Leads the TOP contingency response and directs regional operation, when a contingency is formally declared the DHA.
• Provides informal guidance and direction to TOP regions during small (non-DHA directed) contingency events.
• Ensures compliance under established TOP21 contractual contingency requirements.
• Manages CDRL updates, as required.
• Provides guidance to regions regarding local medical readiness exercises.
• Supports government requests for information and rough order of magnitude responses associated with potential contingency operations.
• Supports MTF and CCMD requests for participation in exercises.
Required Qualifications
Required Work Experience (Brief description of the job-related experience needed to perform the job)
• 5-10 years in Account/Client Management.
• Experience with DoD or other US Government agencies
• Experience with business process improvement

• Bachelors degree
• This position does require someone who can obtain and maintain the appropriate level of tiered investigation access for a position of Trust after being offered a position. International SOS will facilitate.

• Excellent written and spoken English.
Travel / Rotation Requirements (Brief description of any travel or rotation requirements)
• Up to 20% both domestic and internationally.
