HR Generalist, Government Services

Overall Purpose of the Role

Our Government Services Business Line provides comprehensive medical and security support to U.S. government programs, including the TRICARE Overseas Program (TOP).

We are seeking a dynamic and proactive HR Generalist to join our San Antonio team. This is a hands-on role, perfect for an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
 

What you'll do:

• Be the go-to HR advisor for employees and leadership, ensuring smooth HR operations.
• Provide full-cycle HR support, including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, compensation, benefits, and training.
• Partner with leadership to drive engagement, improve retention, and build strong working relationships.
• Manage complex employee relations issues, including investigations and disciplinary actions.
• Collaborate with global HR teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and contract-specific HR regulations.
• Work with payroll and finance teams to resolve timekeeping and payroll-related matters.
• Analyze HR data and provide workforce insights to help drive strategic decisions.

What you bring:

• HR expertise: Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role.
• Prior experience in government, healthcare, insurance, or military-related environments is a plus.
• Strategic mindset & hands-on execution: Ability to work both strategically and operationally to drive HR effectiveness.
• Strong interpersonal skills: Confident in advising and influencing senior leaders while maintaining strong employee relationships.
• Problem-solving & adaptability: Comfortable working in a highly matrixed, fast-paced, global environment.
• Education & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred. SHRM or HRCI certification is advantageous.
• Security Clearance Eligibility: This position does require someone who can obtain and maintain the appropriate level of tiered investigation access for a position of Trust after being offered a position. International SOS will facilitate.
