Job Description:


The Pricing Strategy Manager is a key member of the Product team, who will be responsible for designing, monitoring and adapting a pricing strategy to optimize business line profitability.  Using their experience, the Pricing Strategy Manager will assess the product suite and consult the Product team and senior leadership on best methods to adapt the current approach.  They will then develop a framework to monitor the success of the strategy and fine tune the approach by differences in the product design, client geography and verticals.    Working with functional leadership across the Assistance Business Line, the Pricing Strategy Manager will project-manage all activities necessary to implement and maintain systems, processes, and guidelines that promote conformity with our pricing strategy. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of various pricing strategies in a B2B professional services environment, be comfortable coordinating with other teams in projects, and have demonstrated success in making and informing  data-driven decisions. This role will report into the Group Product Director, Workforce Resilience and deliver on the following critical objectives: 


•    Provide pricing expertise and analyses to inform subscription pricing strategy decisions;
•    Develop and project-lead research, analyses, and reporting that facilitates assessments of pricing performance and aides in the identification of improvement opportunities and spotlights needs for corrective action;
•    Coordinate with other teams as a consumer of market trends, competitive intelligence, and sales performance data;
•    Assess and recommend opportunities for testing new pricing tactics; support Sales team education and roll-out, monitor performance and advise when proven improvements should be implemented more broadly

Key Responsibilities:


•    Develop a Price Strategy: Create a pricing strategy to maximize both market potential & client profitability and minimize client demand surplus.
•    Design a framework for monitoring the strategy: Design a framework to implement and monitor the target operating model for the pricing strategy
•    Partner with Sales Operations, Finance, CRM administration ( and analytics to implement the framework.
•    Leverage resources for research & analysis: Partner with analytics teams to provide analysis on our pricing performance to drive data-driven decision making. Provide guidance to the analytics team on the desired approach and output and be able to understand and assess the results.  Work with various teams to assess the results of regional sales performance and market research teams.
•   Partner with regional teams in reviewing competitive intelligence
•   Partner with analytics teams to assess the success of the program
•    Act as the business line expert on pricing: Bring expertise in pricing strategies and act as consultant to the business providing both expert advice on test pricing methodologies as well as executing the strategy in the business.

•    Develop a pricing strategy that best meets the needs of the business
•    Provide direction to the analytics team for the best approaches to assess price optimization
•    Interpret the results of analyses to drive insights and action
•    Create a framework to monitor the strategy (including KPIs, OKRs, processes and protocols)
•    Monitor and adapt the pricing approach based on sales performance and industry- and geographic-market trends
•    Lead projects to implement system changes with application teams (e.g.
•    Coordinate with regional and cross-functional teams to assess their market research and sales performance
•    Act as the business line expert on pricing
•    Work with the Product Directors to assess strategies for feature packaging vs add-on options
•    Advise & Recommend: Provide performance assessments of pricing and recommendations on changes to pricing, pricing strategy and competitive positioning relative to pricing.

Required Skills and Knowledge:


•    Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, business
•    Advanced knowledge of pricing and packaging strategies in a professional services B2B company
•    Knowledge of pricing strategies for a renewal-based business model
•    Strong business acumen
•    Advanced verbal and written communication and influencing skills are a must
•    Comfort working with varying teams and seniority levels
•    Strong understanding of how to interpret statistical and financial analysis 
•    Knowledge of data process to manage projects with Analytics team.
•    Expert Excel 
•    Understanding of analytical methods to substantiate recommendations and decisions
•    Experience in change management
•    Ability to influence without authority
•    Ability to work independently and take initiative
•    Ability to meet deadlines (and to manage associated stress)


Preferred Skills and Knowledge


•    Master’s degree in business or other applicable discipline
•    Hands-on analytical experience
•    Power BI or comparable BI software (Tableau, Looker, Qlik, etc)
•    SQL, R, Python or equivalent statistical modeling tools (e.g., Regress, SAS, etc)


Work Experience



•    5 or more years of experience designing, implementing, and managing various pricing strategies.
•    3 or more years of consulting experience with B2B professional service clients



•    healthcare industry experience
•    Experience working, living, or otherwise traveling internationally.


Location/Travel Requirements


•    The role will be based in Philadelphia with an expectation of working from the International SOS office at least two days per week. 
•    Occasional domestic & international travel may be required
