Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in assisting pharmacists in providing quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This position offers an opportunity to work in a hospital setting and gain valuable experience in medication administration and patient service.

 

DUTIES:

  • Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • Assist in IV infusion preparation and administration
  • Maintain accurate patient records and medication profiles
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare professionals
  • Assist with inventory management and medication ordering
  • Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment

 

SKILLS:

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmaceutical calculations
  • Proficient in using pharmacy software systems for prescription processing
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique for sterile compounding
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • ​​​​High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Pharmacy Technician program preferred
  • Active Pharmacy Technician certification/license required (state-specific)
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician is a plus
