Your Mission
As a Remote Paramedic supporting oil, gas, and mining operations in rural Alaska, you’ll be the frontline provider of emergency and occupational medical care in some of the most isolated environments. Working on fly-in/fly-out rotations (2 weeks on/2 weeks off or 3 weeks on/3 weeks off), you’ll respond to urgent and emergent situations, assess hazards, and deliver advanced life support—including airway management, IV therapy, ECG monitoring, defibrillation, and medication administration—under physician oversight. You’ll triage patients, manage mass casualty incidents, and coordinate transport to higher-level care facilities. Beyond emergency response, you’ll perform health and safety inspections, maintain medical equipment, and ensure compliance with state and federal EMS regulations. This role is ideal for a highly skilled, adaptable professional who thrives in challenging conditions and values making a real impact on workforce health and safety.
How You’ll Contribute
Take on a challenging and rewarding role where your advanced skills save lives in some of the most isolated environments. Working on fly-in/fly-out rotations, you’ll provide critical emergency and occupational medical care to a dynamic workforce:
- Deliver Emergency and Non-Emergency Care: Respond to urgent medical situations and routine health needs for employees on-site.
- Assess and Control Hazards: Evaluate safety risks at emergency scenes and take action to control hazards before providing care.
- Perform Advanced Life Support: Under physician supervision, administer airway management, IV therapy, ECG monitoring, defibrillation, synchronized cardioversion, and approved medications.
- Handle Complex Procedures: Execute advanced interventions such as needle chest decompression, suctioning, and gastric/oral/tracheal procedures.
- Lead Rescue Operations: Extricate patients from entrapment and provide specialized rescue services where trained.
- Manage Mass Casualty Incidents: Triage patients effectively and oversee care during large-scale emergencies.
- Ensure Compliance and Safety: Follow state and federal EMS regulations, including hazardous materials, bloodborne pathogens, and controlled substances protocols.
- Maintain Readiness: Clean, restock, and ensure emergency equipment and supplies are fully operational.
- Document with Precision: Complete detailed patient care and transport records to maintain compliance and quality standards.
- Support Health & Safety: Assist the HSE function without compromising medical responsibilities, contributing to a safer work environment.
