Overall Purpose Of The Job

The Medical Liaison officer (LNO) functions are critical to the successful integration of diverse capabilities across medical domains. Medical LNOs are responsible for maintaining communications between the assigned facility and the Case Management Team at the CAS Role 2. Medical LNOs are critical to providing on-site assistance and coordination with the local medical facility and acts as the face and representation of International SOS. These positions require working predominantly independent of direct supervision and will be primarily working at assigned offsite local medical facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Case Management with coordinating care of beneficiaries at local medical facilities.

• Works closely with local medical facility leadership and medical staff to ensure open flow of communication.

• Support beneficiaries at assigned medical facility with providing assistance in locating proper clinics, providers.

• Report all changes in patient’s conditions to the Case Management Leadership at CAS Role 2.

• Coordinate travel requirements for patients when being discharged from medical facility.

• Coordinate admissions, daily patient visits and movement of inpatients.

• Provides support and education to help patients make responsible health decisions.

• Cross-train to work within in the Case Management Team and Billing/Coding team.

• On-call rotation schedule participation as needed

• Other duties as assigned.

Job Profile

Required Skills and Knowledge 

• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience

• Experience in a clinic setting (urgent care, emergency room, etc.)

• Excellent communication skills

 

Education Required:

• Current and unrestricted registered nurse license from home country of record.

• Associate or bachelor’s degree is required from an Accredited nursing program.

• Current Basic Life Support certification Physical Demands:

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.

• Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time. 

• May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.

 

Other Special Qualifications:

• Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.

• This position is unaccompanied.

• This is a non-US position.

• US DOS clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.

• Must be able to relocate to Qatar.

• A valid passport is required and must be in your possession prior to relocation. You must maintain a current passport during your stay in Qatar.
