Job Description

International SOS Government Medical Services is recruiting Licensed Nursing Assistant to support our medical staffing projects New Hampshire.   

International SOS has been providing medical and emergency services for over 35 years, supporting government and military clients worldwide. Across these sites, we maintain more than 5,000 personnel and provide services that include emergency response, ambulance services, primary care, emergency care, occupational health, supply chain services, laboratory services, radiology services, specialist services, dentistry, and biomedical maintenance. In addition, we operate more than 65 clinics located around the world providing emergency and primary care and occupational health. Most of the clinics include an ambulance service. 

Depending on our clients’ needs, LNAs may work in temporary, short-term, or long-term jobs. Recruited personnel might be working alongside our Clients’ teams or as part of our own multidisciplinary teams, in secured state facilities with safe working environment, medically remote locations, industrial projects, our own clinics, etc.

Key Details:

  • Providing patients with basic information, assisting in interpersonal relationships, and facilitating the adjustment of patients to their living environment. 

  • As directed by a nurse, assisting in planning and providing for daily needs of the patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) or minor treatment procedures. 

  • Supervising patients in various groups for patient enjoyment and maintenance of ADL skills and current level of functioning. 

  • Assisting in coordinating staff schedules and weekly patient assignment sheets for individualized patient care. 

  • Reporting related findings through verbal and written communication to their shift supervisor.  

 

Requirements

Required Skills and Knowledge (Brief description of technical knowledge or skills needed to perform the job) 

 

Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills   

Excellent IT skills including use of electronic medical records systems   

Knowledge of health practices and nursing medical ethics 

Demonstrate responsibility and accountability for professional practice 

Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team 

Ability to analyse activities and report any non-compliance. 

 

Required Work Experience (Brief description of the job-related experience needed to perform the job) 

Minimum of one year of clinical experience in direct patient care as a licensed practical or vocational nurse 

Experience in detention or correctional healthcare, residential healthcare, a hospital, outpatient clinic, nursing home, or other supervised medical, nursing, or patient care facility that provided direct care. 

Experience with pediatric and adult patients.  

 

Required Qualifications, Licensure, Certification 

LNA(s) must be licensed in New Hampshire and have no record of prior or pending disciplinary action against him or her by the licensure body or agency. New Hampshire is a member of the National Council of State Board of Nursing and participates in the multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC). 

Program must be accredited by an entity recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. 

Licensure must be maintained current, and any required education, trainings, continued education to maintain licensure must be completed within the required timeline for completion by the licensing/ certifying authority. 

Candidate should not have had any professional licensure withheld, suspended, revoked, or denied, and the candidate must not have surrendered or allowed a licensure/certification to have expired or lapsed because of an investigation or disciplinary action. Any National Practitioner Database finding will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. 

Candidate must not have been convicted of, pled guilty to, pled nolo contender to, or received probation before judgement for any crime other than a minor traffic violation, the record of which has not been expunged. 

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification must be from one of the following approved organizations: 

a. American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for health care providers 

b. American Red Cross CPR/BLS for the professional rescuer 

c. American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) CPR and AED for healthcare providers and professional responders 

i.    Course components must include Adult, Pediatric, and Infant CPR, Foreign Body Airway Obstruction, and Automatic Defibrillator (AED) proficiency 

ii.    Applicant/ Employee must be certified upon hire and may also be a certified instructor 

iii.    BLS/CPR must be renewed prior to expiration date, and always kept in an active status
