Overall Purpose of the Role

The Senior Counsel will be responsible for providing legal, risk management and compliance support to affiliates NAM, including International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc (“TMS”), Medical Consulting & Solutions, Inc (Corporate Healthcare Management Services, Inc. (“CHM”), Beacon Occupational Health & Safety Services “BHS”) and other entities in the Americas as needed. The primary interface is with the General Counsel, NAM, along with senior leadership or such other senior business managers of NAM affiliates as appropriate.

Key Responsibilities

•    Review, negotiate and draft any manner of agreements.
•    Assist in managing insurance program, including claims and risk mitigation programs.
•    Provide legal research, advice, and other legal and compliance assistance to company and affiliates.
•    Support entity management and corporate affairs.

Required Qualifications

Required Work Experience (Brief description of the job-related experience needed to perform the job)
1.    Six to eight years legal experience (preferably with at least three in a law firm and three to four years working in an in-house position in the private or public sector).
2.    Experience addressing government contracting legal and commercial issues, preferably in the legal department of a large multinational corporate environment.
3.    Experience in claims and litigation management.
4.    Experience in providing legal advice in connection with complex multilayer contracting in complex legal and regulatory frameworks subject to potential restrictions and licensure requirements.
5.    Experience of working in the professional services sector with an experience in dealing with insurance matters (both life and non-life) and related litigation cases would be an advantage.
6.    Health care and data privacy experience are preferred.

Required Education (Brief description of the educational background needed to perform the job)
•    Law degree from a U.S. accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar.

Travel Requirements (Brief description of any travel or rotation requirements)
•    As required, but can expect up to 10% travel
•    Hybrid work schedule
