We are currently looking to hire 2 Medical Office Assistant to work at one of our Leduc head office in Alberta. The shift is 4 days on and 4 days off.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative expertise in the understanding and fulfilment of requests for assistance from our clients and Intl. SOS staff, in collaboration with medical and operations professional colleagues.
  • Communication with Company Leadership, to escalate issues as required.
  • Undertake project work or any other reasonable duties as required.

Response Centre Administration

  • Assist with CRC documentation and record keeping.
  • Completion of reports as required by clients and company policy and procedure.
  • Reliably escalate cases and requests where required by company protocols
  • Facilitate documentation requirements to/from provincial regulators, outside practitioners and health care facilities as required.

Quality Management

  • Ensure CRC policies and procedures are up-to-date and personally adhered to.
  • Notify HSE client of possible work-related incident/injury.
  • Giving a site-specific orientation to all new CRC MOA staff.

Customer Service

  • Demonstrate a professional, positive and caring attitude when interacting with clients and Intl. SOS staff with the objective of exceeding expectations.
  • Ensure continuity of service delivery by answering all requests for assistance in a timely and professional manner and managing cases in line with policy and procedure.
  • Address staff concerns to relevant managers and work with the departments to promote and improve a culture of problem solving.
  • Manage cases with a sense of responsibility and urgency, proactively working around barriers and demonstrating a passion for achieving the best outcomes for our clients and Intl. SOS staff.

Administration, Documentation & Communication

  • Ensure accurate reporting and record keeping in accordance with client’s needs as well as Intl. SOS procedure.
  • Attend training and meetings as and when required.
  • Actively develop own skills, knowledge and an area of personal interest to improve personal performance and add value to the team.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by the Operations Director.

Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities

  • Adequately induct, inform, train and supervise workers to ensure safe OH&S practices are understood and upheld by all Emergency Dispatch team members.
  • Provide all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required ensuring workers can complete their job safely.
  • Train workers in correct use of the PPE.
  • Monitor and evaluate OH&S systems and procedures to ensure that workers are adequately protected from workplace hazards.
  • Provide adequate facilities for the welfare of employees. This includes employee facilities and risk assessments on plant and procedures.
  • Be aware of employer legal obligations under the relevant legal and regulatory requirements for OH&S in the location and meet those obligations in full.

Qualifications

At least one (1) years’ experience in medical clinic or related setting.

Experience with medical clinic administration and related software tools.

Call center experience beneficial but not required.

Required Qualifications

Completion of MOA certificate or equivalent

Class 5 Driver’s License

Working Conditions

Required Languages

  • Excellent written and spoken English language. French beneficial but not required.

Travel / Rotation Requirements

  • Night Shifts
  • Required to work in Leduc office.
