General Information

We are presently sourcing for standby Travel Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to service remote communities within Northern Manitoba and Northern Alberta.

In addition to being paid a day rate while deployed, this position will provide a monthly "standby" rate to remain on our roster.

Must-haves (minimum requirements):

  • Experience working within remote communities
  • Emergency experience as a LPN, an asset
  • Current Manitoba LPN license
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery of the holistic culturally competent community care to remote and/or isolated first nations communities in Manitoba.
  • Provide ethical, high quality and competent care to patients of all ages and at all levels of acuity including neonatal, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and the elderly.
  • Consult with the registered nurse, charge nurse, physician and the members of the interdisciplinary team to deliver care within the scope of practice.
  • Provide specialized care including wound care, conducting prenatal care clinics, support the vaccination clinics, and conduct the chronic care clinic follow ups.
  • Document care according to the guidelines.

  • A high level of knowledge and the ability to interpret relevant medical and operational guidelines, protocols, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
