Overall Purpose Of The Job
The Nurse Practitioner will utilize expertise to diagnose, mitigate, and treat injuries and illnesses in a hospital setting. We are looking for candidates with a commitment to a proactive approach to workplace safety while taking a diplomatic and professional approach to customer interactions.
We are presently staffing for Full-time Night Shift and PRN Nurse Practitioners. This opportunity is for a construction site in New Albany, OH. All candidates must be able to reliably commute to work site for scheduled (12 hour) night shifts. No relocation package or housing is provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Attends and participates in a variety of meetings and task force groups to improve quality and outcomes, and communication of issues.
- Ensures proper injury care and disease diagnosis, treatment and recovery and requests necessary tests and follow up visits and refer patients to specialists as necessary.
- Stabilize, evaluate and treat emergency patients.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Profile
Experience Required:
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner (NP).
• Emergency and/or Primary Care medicine experience.
Education/Certification Required:
• Current and unrestricted license from Ohio
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• American Heart Association - Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certification is preferred.
• DEA License.
• Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) or equivalent(s) is desired.
Physical Requirements:
• Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
• Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
• May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.
Other Special Qualifications:
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Must be able to read, write and speak English to effectively communicate
